About
I got hooked on the web somewhere in 1994. I’m your typical webmaster who got promoted to web designer, then content producer, content manager and now I am a communications architect & usability consultant.
If you’ve been in the web for this long, you know that the titles don’t mean a thing. The web is consuming because it’s an incredible mix of disciplines. You could be a designer for 2 hours, an information architect for 1 hour, and copywriter for 3 hours in the exact same day.
What this blog does is that it tries to document my views on web 2.0. Since I’ve been through web 1.0, I will draw parallels to old sites that have exploded, imploded, changed the world, etc. Hope you enjoy it.
Although blogging has been around for pretty long, I’ve never really felt the urge to start a blog. I didn’t have much to say, or I thought everyone else had more to say, etc. Where I am from, consultants blog to promote their businesses more than anything else or to establish their voice in the digital wilderness. My hermit tendencies (you wouldn’t know I had them as I hide them well), have always given me good reason to say unknown and unheard.
So why now? I guess I feel a compulsion to be a historian of sorts. Just as the world is going crazy over things like myspace and fleck, I feel a need to remember those who walked before us with the original ideas.

Woo hoo! Webified!! I’m glad you stopped by my blog. I hope you don’t mind if I add your blog to my links. I’m looking forward to reading more of your musings– I like the “historical” perspective you’re taking.

p.s. Did you take those flickr pictures? They’re amazing!
Hey Izzy, very flattered to be on your blog roll! Please do add me. Glad you enjoy my musings. Each time I do an entry, I feel like I am 70. Then I remember geriatric1927 who posted that video on YouTube and I spring to life again.
The flickr pictures (unfortunately) aren’t taken by me. If I was so artistic, i wouldnt have to blog, i’d do a photo blog to give the perspective of 1.0 vs 2.0. It’s just photos I picked from Flickr because they are so gorgeous.
